Thank you for giving me much food for thought over the past year. The lovely bitesize nature of these posts also means it is the only Substack whose emails I read straight away!

Thank you for sharing your ideas over the past year! It's been a joy to read. I think it's important to be challenged and to have people around you who point out ways in which things could be different. Thank you for the inspiration and courage to challenge the status quo!

Thank you for a year of thought-provoking posts! I look forward to more organic, if not weekly, pieces.

What I particularly like about your posts is they inspire me to pursue one of my favorite exercises, what I call "Facet Engineering," or the examining of multiple facets of a topic, how they relate to one another, and how they connect with facets of other, relevant topics. It creates an entity with virtually infinite dimensions, and, I'm afraid, I tend to get muddled in the details!

One way I try to make sense of this complexity is through what I call the "Kipling’s Six Wise Men Framework," asking the Why, How, What, When, Where, and Who of a subject. Even these six “wise guys” are not mutually exclusive. There can be a "why" embedded in the "how," or a "when" hidden within the "who." Perhaps that is precisely what makes understanding anything truly interesting.

I also appreciate your dislike of “making people angry to get traffic.” At the same time, if provocation is part of the idea behind Reinvent Science, some feathers are bound to be ruffled. And that, in turn, may drive traffic. I’d call those the "collateral benefits" rather than the objective.

As you quote Sun-Tzu, “Chaos is a ladder.” There is an interesting parallel here with Joseph Schumpeter’s idea of "Creative Destruction." Disruption is uncomfortable, even chaotic, but it can also create the conditions for something new to emerge.

And perhaps that is what I’m most looking forward to in your writings: the ladder in the chaos.

Congrats and thanks for sharing your ideas, and keeping them so out-of-the box. Going to miss being provoked every week, But still excited for what's ahead!
